Changes in area of agricultural land following restoration

Eight case-studies reported changes in area of agricultural land following restoration (Table 1). This showed that a loss in agricultural land was more common than an increase, although on average, there was a loss of only 4%. Losses were high in % terms for Tisza (66%) and Lima (38%). Tzipori lost 100% of its agricultural land although this was only a small area in absolute terms (1 ha). The % change was used to assess positive or negative impact, with +/- 10% considered as minor impact (yellow faces).
